Daniel M. Williams, M.D., P.A., a veteran-owned Professional Association, doing business as Mindshift Care, Advancing Detox Science for Cognitive Health.
Our mission statement at Mindshift Care is to be a community of cooperative people and businesses dedicated to “helping people learn to detox for cognitive health”. Why?
Our History
2022 – Springfield, MO tests city water for PFAS(1). The city of Springfield, MO is suing 3M Corporation for allegedly dumping Polyfluoalkyl Substances (PFAS) into the James River and mishandling PFAS at their Springfield location.
2023 – Dr. Daniel Williams is a psychiatrist that was working in Springfield right after the lawsuit was filed. He had already noticed that practically all of the physically healthy psychiatric patients had elevated cholesterol labs, low Vitamin D, and more than expected subclinical hypothyroidism. He put two-and-two together and suspected these abnormal labs reflected bioaccumulation of PFAS in to the residents of the Springfield and Ozark region, as far south as Arkansas. (See Dr. Williams’ Author Page for previous publications.)
2024 – Dr. Williams conducted preliminary research to estimate the prevalence of these abnormal labs and published the report here: Early Potential Biomarkers for Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Bioaccumulation. Next, he demonstrated that PFAS can be excreted from humans via electrolysis (ionic foot bath).
Our Future
The plan is to create an active membership community of families and professionals to help give the best advice on how to decrease your toxic load, access blood and urine tests, and help others learn to detox for health and wellness.
